I have a pair of Aktimate mini+ speakers and they were cheap. They certainly don't sound cheap though. While I'm not a fan of the manufacturing quality on the outside (they are a bit er, 'agricultural') they have the most impressive, wide, deep and engaging soundstage of any bookshelf speaker I've ever listened to. The reason I'm here is because I'm re-thinking my decision to list them on eBay (I've been doing some research. Amazing speakers. I think I'll keep 'em...

What a sick set up

I've heard these are brilliant. However all the reviews say that partnering is difficult, and that you need to match exactly the right kind of amp with them. But, nowhere can I find any information on what amps would be a good fit for the LS50s.

You mention Naim Supercap twice in the description. I think I can see a Superline phono stage on the rack you forgot to mention. Did you use the Nac 252 to power the Superline? Is that enough on a reference system?

Hey there I'm kinda a noob when it comes to turntable and audio but I ordered a Pyle turntable that doesn't have a built in preamp so I ordered along with it but I was looking at my receiver which is an older like early 90s technics I don't have the model # on me but it has a place for a ground wire and I was wondering if I even need the preamp that I ordered I'll keep it anyway cause I got a deal on it for 20 bucks and I may infant need it later on say my receiver blows up and I need a new one

Were you happy with the sound quality of these cans. What would you rate them on a scale one through ten. Against Sennheiser's flagship HD 800 headphones. That's if you ever heard those headphones before . I never heard either of these headphones. But I was thinking about the Oppo pm-1 to be my first audiophile headphones . I know you can't go wrong with either one of these. Maybe the hd800 has a wider soundstage . I would appreciate it if you responded back to this. i have this dac, compared to like 20 other expensive, cheap dacs.. very close was only M-DAC(too much mids,but acceptable).. others were put to shame ....

KEF describes LS0 as a "studio monitor" in the footsteps of the BBC LS3/5A. Since that venerable design, it has become de rigeur to power studio monitor systems with their own amplification so that you can plug straight into the recording desk or computer. Is it not then reasonable to expect that KEF's entry into the powered studio monitor market would employ all the 'essential' physical design of the LS50 - curvilinear baffle, drive units, 'brick-like' construction? So, why the X300A - a powered monitor that throws away all the design, sonics and even the name of the LS50 but still sells for the high price of just sub-£1,000 (wireless)? Is the LS50 design all wrong or just too 'audiophile'? Is the X300A a sub-standard speaker designed to appeal to undeserving engineers like me whose hearing has probably long since deteriorated owing to overloud 'near-field monitoring? Why isn't there an LS50 with the dual Class A/B amps built into a tastefully fluted (integral cooling fins) base? I have asked KEF on Facebook but seen no response. Do you have a view?

No doubt about it Toys In The Attic is one of Aerosmith best albums love every song on there on there front to back. Other albums and my opinion that are there best are Get Your Wings, Rocks, Pump, Get A Grip, Nine Lives & Music From Another Dimension

I have the 5350 amp/evo 2 cdp combo coupled with Epos Elan 30 speakers. A match made in heaven. Come on people, be different, forget the usual suspects and demo Creek/Epos and find out for yourself.

Ultrasones measure poorly because of the s-logic. The way the driver is placed on them makes it hard to measure properly, or at least most people dont know how to do it. Their measurements are all spiky. I have the HFi2400, by their measurements they should sound like complete shit, but they actually sound very neutral and balanced, quite speaker-like.
